Hi! We are Neighbors CPR.
It has been almost 4 years since we started Neighbors CPR, so we thought we should reintroduce ourselves. We are two best friends who recognized a need for accessible CPR training that empowers others to act in life threatening situations.
Last year in 2023 we decided we wanted to reach as many people as possible and push our business into high gear. We filed as a LLC, rebranded and started a social media presence with the help of Kendra Morgan Photography, held multiple public Friends & Family CPR classes, was featured on WHO 13 Hello Iowa and the Office of Iowa Secretary of State Paul D, Pete’s #SmallBizSalute, helped 2 sports complexes take control and get all of their staff certified and helped multiple of other medical professionals get re-certified in the Des Moines metro area.
Beth is a nurse with 18 years experience, who graduated from Mercy College of Health Sciences in 2005. Beth immediately accepted a position as a postpartum nurse for Mercy Hospital of Des Moines. After several years she decided to travel as a postpartum/level 2 Nursery Nurse in Salt Lake City, Utah and multiple locations in California.
While working in California she worked along side two labor and delivery nurses. They convinced her to try something new and switch from Postpartum to Labor and Delivery. So that’s just what she did. Once her time was up traveling she accepted a position in Labor and Delivery back at Mercy Hospital of Des Moines, Iowa.
Kristin is Respiratory Therapist with 17 years experience. She started at the University of Northern Iowa for Elementary Education but realized it wasn’t for her after 2 years. She loved her anatomy class in high school and wanted to do something in health care. Her mom was a nurse working at the U of I on the burn unit and set up a hospital wide job shadow. Kristin went to radiology, pharmacy nursing and ended in Respiratory Therapy. When she finished she just knew that is what she wanted to do, so she transferred to Hawkeye community college and graduated in May of 2006.
Immediately after graduating college Kristin accepted a position at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa in May of 2006 and has been there ever since!
We met in college through our husbands and have been doing life together ever since. Beth is known as Auntie Beth to Kristin’s kiddos and Kristin is Auntie Kristin to Beth’s.
